Excellent Advice From the Forum

Monday August 29, 2005

"So my advice to students is: get out there and ask questions, or, if you're shy, observe people very carefully. Then: consider carefully the answers and things you've seen. Sometimes things aren't at all what they seem." Sage words from a savvy taveler in an intriguing Student Travel forum thread.

What do you think you need to know about attitudes toward the US before you hit the streets in a foreign land? Or do you need to prepare? Is half the adventure in venture going without a long list of do's and don't's? Lend your opinion.
