Rioting French Youth Kill One; Tourists Warned

The first fatality in 11 days of French rioting occurred Sunday, following a month of simmering violence involving French-born children of Arab and black African immigrants, according to Reuters. The US government has issued travel public announcements (a step down from a travel warning) for areas of France, where over 300 towns are experiencing unrest. Also according to Reuters, more than 1400 vehicles were burned and 36 police injured in riot-related incidents on Sunday night.
