Ten Tips For Avoiding Jet Lag

Tuesday November 15, 2005
If your holiday travel is taking you to far away time zones, you may need this: Larry West has put together a great list of ideas for avoiding jet lag.

Avoiding jet lag according to Larry:
    1. Adjust your bedtime by one hour a day.
    2. Reset your watch at the beginning of your flight.
    3. Drink plenty of water.
    4. Avoid drinking alcohol or anything with caffeine during your flight.
    5. Sleep on the plane if it is nighttime at your destination.
    6. Stay awake during your flight if it is daytime at your destination.
    7. Exercise as much as you can on the flight while you’re awake.
    8. Eat lightly but strategically.
    9. Consider taking melatonin or "No Jet Lag" tablets.
    10. Relax when you reach your destination.
Read Larry's detailed list, and read more about preparing for air travel.
