Some Sharp Objects OK on Planes Again

Wednesday November 30, 2005
According to the Washington Post, the TSA (Transportation Security Administration) is slightly relaxing aiport screening security standards -- the list of banned carry on items will get a bit shorter starting Friday.

The Post reports that TSA screeners spend half their time looking for cigarette lighters; Homeland Security Department officials' concerns lie more with potential suicide bombs and TSA officials would prefer that screeners concentrate on finding "improvised explosive devices."
