What Do You Know About Geography?

Monday December 19, 2005
Q: Which US state shares a border with only one other state? Hint: stop trying to picture Alaska on a map.

A: Maine -- borders only New Hampshire.

That's one of 50 questions on San Francisco Chronicle's annual geography quiz. It's fun -- try this one:

"This city holds three distinctions: Founded in 1607, it's the oldest continuously occupied U.S. state capital. At 7,000 feet above sea level, it's the highest state capital. And it's the only state capital without regularly scheduled commercial air service."

I didn't know, either. Answers are below the quiz.
