Donate Leftover Foreign Change

An article in the New York Times travel section reminded me today, during the season of giving, of a great option for getting rid of change after a trip: donate those foreign coins to Unicef's Change for Good program. You can drop that wad of coins into a Unicef envelope on the plane home and the nonprofit org will use the money to benefit children globally; a few Euros add up, too -- Unicef has raised over $53 million this way since 1991.
