One-Day Student Airfare Sale From STA

Get out the globe and pick a spot you want to see, because student travel agency STA Travel is starting its 24-hour annual Bluesday student airfare sale at midnight Pacific time tonight. Student airfare prices often apply to students under 26 only, but "Blue Tickets" also go out to travelers under 35 with ISIC cards -- you absolutely positively gotta get an ISIC card to get the student airfare deals this sale offers if you're 26-34.   • New York-- London from $99*
  • Washington D.C. -- Madrid from $110*
  • Chicago -- Barcelona from $170*
  • Seattle -- London from $180*
  • Los Angeles-- Barcelona from $190*
  • Portland -- Rome from $210***
  • San Francisco --Sydney -- $525**
  • Philadelphia -- Nairobi from $580*
  • Dallas -- Cape Town from $630*
  • Austin -- Melbourne from $825**
  • London -- Paris on the Eurostar Train $20 (one way)
With a Blue Ticket™, you can change your travel dates after you buy for a few bucks (ask before you buy), stay for up to one year, and get a refund (again, ask what that will be before you buy).

Taxes and fees for your sale ticket will probably be around $200. Remember that you must be between 12 and 26 (34, in some cases) and seeking a degree at an accredited university to get an ISIC card. The Blue Ticket student airfare sale rules -- some per STA Travel:

  • Fares available to students under 26 or to valid ISIC cardholders under 35.

  • Tickets must be purchased and ticketed between February 7, 2006, 12AM Pacific time and February 8, 2006, 12AM Pacific only.

    • *British Airways fares valid for travel between February 7 and May 28, 2006.
    • **Qantas fares valid for travel between August 1 and September 15, 2006.
    • ***Air Canada fares valid for travel between February 9 and March 13, 2006.
