Budget Eats Tip: Riviera Maya

Saturday February 18, 2006
Came across a neat Riviera Maya blog today called Mayan Holiday -- lots of Riviera Maya news and tips. Blog post "Peso Pinching in the Riviera Maya" is a cool collection of mostly peso-free things to do on Mexico's Caribbean coast; my favorite tip from the article is this:

"Looking for authentic Mexican food? Head to 30th Avenue in Playa del Carmen and eat with the locals. The stretch between 2nd Street and 14th Street is lined with many casual eateries with inexpensive tacos, seafood and more."

Now that's news you can use. Eating local is always the way to go to save travel money; it's a must for finding out what a country's about. Learn more:
