Cool Kayak-Google Travel Map Mashup

Big time airfare finder Kayak.com has a very fun new feature in its Buzz (latest airfare searches) section: Trip Ideas. Click on Kayak's suggestions and see a Google travel map mashup like the one at right, or use the search box for your own wander wonderings. Click on any of the numbered balloons in your map and you'll be shown an intro to a travel piece on the destination and links to find airfares, as well as recent airfares found, to nearby airports. Where do you want to be? You can create trip ideas -- I just made a Kayak-Google map for the top spring break Colorado ski resorts for a friend in Minneapolis and added it to Kayak's Student Travel trip ideas category -- her very own trip idea map shows her some ski resorts, nearby airports and ways to find airfares from Minnesota.
