"Da Vinci Code" student travel

Monday June 26, 2006
The success of best selling novel The Da Vinci Code spawned one big budget Hollywood flick and roughly a zillion tour packages offering visits to European spots prominently featured in the twisty tale. The first Da Vinci Code offer we've seen for student travelers is being sold through Canadian student travel agency Travel Cuts -- starts at $335 (plus taxes and fees) if you'd like to follow in star Tom Hanks's tracks for treks to centuries-old sites. Package includes US-London and Paris-US airfare, a Eurostar London-Paris train ticket and intrigue-inspired sightseeing suggestions; lodging is not offered in the Travel Cuts student airfare deal -- try lists of the top Paris and London hostels for ideas and booking.

You can also put together your own trip -- grab a copy of Fodor's Da Vinci Code Guidebook and follow the Da Vinci Code trail from Europe to London with a student airfare and student-discounted Eurostar tix. Use your travel time to take a complimentary Da Vinci Code tour courtesy of Paris' most famous museum, the Louvre, which is free to folks under 26 on Friday nights -- look into it with the other top free things to do in Paris.
