Couchsurfing.com kaput

Saturday July 1, 2006
The website for Couchsurfing, the wonderful community of wanderers worldwide, has experienced some major malfunctions and is (hopefully temporarily) down and out. CouchSurfing founder Casey Fenton has written, "We are currently exploring options as to what actions to take next. One way or another, the energy and spirit of CouchSurfing will certainly live on." The Couchsurfing gang has set up communication bulletin boards for those currently traveling via couch.

I have been trying to register on couchsurfing.com and the graphical code that I enter is always read wrong by the system and am asked to try again. I tried all major browsers but it doesn’t work. Their support email form also has a graphical code verification system, so I cannot even send them an email. This sucks! I posted my problem on yahoo answers and I was going through previous questions and there was a similar problem posted 5 months ago. I am posting here in the hopes of getting my problem across to their tech team by word of mouth. Hope this works.
