Oasis Air to Offer Budget London-Hong Kong Flights

New Oasis Air is set to be the first Hong Kong-based budget airline flying long hauls starting in October -- the airline will be offering budget fares all the time and very decent promotions sometimes, like a £75 ($139 USD) introductory fare London-Hong Kong. Since you live in the US, this tidbit helps if you're willing to do some jiving to take advantage, like flying from the US to London and then to Hong Kong, or keeping Oasis Air in mind if you're already in Europe and headed to Hong Kong (use a cheap European airline to get to London, in that case). The plus-plus (additional taxes and fees) is still unknown on the Oasis Air $139 promotion, but without it, a random October fare comparison looks thus:

We haven't taken into account any London costs, like getting from London's Heathrow airport, where you'll arrive from NYC, to London's Gatwick airport, where Oasis will depart (as do many budget European airlines, like RyanAir) -- one fun solution is to take a layover day, tour London and return to Gatwick on the train.
