Puerto Vallarta Hosts Bikini Photo Contest

Wednesday August 30, 2006
Ahh - Mexico. I'm in Puerto Vallarta at California swimwear company Ujena's Bikini Jam, a model/photographer event with potential epic proportions (Ujena calls it the new spring break) featuring over 100 pro models and models-in-the-making. Gala bashes abound and bikini-clad models are decorating PGA golf course El Tigre, discos, a 5K run/walk, and the beach, posing in hopes of winning Ujena top model slot. The Labor Day weekend competition gives over 60 photographers a shot at shooting Ujena's 2007 swimwear catalog via entering snaps from mega and marathon photo shoots transpiring around this lovely city.

Today I'm off to parasail over beautiful Banderas Bay and ride a horse into the mountains; tonight I'll start a quest for the perfect fish taco at beachside restaurants and roasted corn at street stands in downtown Puerto Vallarta -- I'll fill you in when I have the goods. In the meantime, you can do some homework for your next Mexico trip with a beginner's guide to Mexico travel and a pre-travel planning FAQ. And now, I must attend to my homework. Hasta luego.
