WYSE Work Abroad Association Formed

Wednesday October 25, 2006
The Global Work Experience Association (GWEA) and the International Association of Educational Work Exchange Programmes (IAEWEP) joined forces in October, 2006, to found the WYSE Work Abroad Association, a new powerhouse resource for young travelers seeking to work abroad. WYSE Work Abroad is a trade association bringing together organizations which adhere to its standards (it's affiliated with the World Youth Student & Educational Travel Confederation, an excellent organization absolutely devoted to furthering student travel worldwide by fostering relationships, sponsoring conferences and events, vetting organizations and more). The WYSE Work Abroad Association says of itself that it "...works to facilitate and increase international youth travel and exchange through the promotion of culturally-oriented work exchange / experience activities aimed at providing young people greater knowledge and understanding of other cultures."

Excellent news for you. Hop to the website and read up about internships, volunteer programs for student travelers, and working holiday programs; use the pulldown menu to choose the country in which you want to work and see member website listings.
