Europe Tightens, UK Relaxes Carry On Rules

Starting November 6, the EU (European Union) will be officially following US and UK airport security examples and restricting liquids and gels in carry on bags aboard airplanes to 100 milliliter (3.38 ounce) containers, carried in a one liter (about one quart) plastic, resealable bag. Similar airport rules in the US mean carrying toiletries in three ounce or less containers inside a clear, sandwich-sized, Ziploc-style baggie. And in the UK, things have gotten somewhat simpler with the rescinding of airport rules restricting any liquids and/or gels whatsoever. Confused? Read the news:
