Mapquest Gas Prices Mapping

Friday February 2, 2007
Exceedingly cool new tool for US road travel: Mapquest's gas price mapping. Great addition to the toolbox you can use to calculate gas costs for that next road trip, which may be Mardi Gras in New Orleans, or spring break in Florida...for instance, today's lowest gas price in spring break central Daytona Beach is $2.13, and the Big Easy's best pump price is $1.89. What's that mean to you? Learn more about road trip costs:

This is a cool tool! I think I will add it to the gas saver information on my Southwest for Visitors site.

Very cool indeed. I’m also using this to find gas prices around my own neighborhood.

What a great tool! I know that AAA has something similar where you pick your car model and then choose cities from a pulldown map. This can be so handy, especially with gas prices what they are. I’ll bet it would also help with deciding whether it’s really cheaper to drive vs. flying on some trips. Thanks!
