Oz Bus: 12 Weeks, 10,000 Miles

We noticed this a bit ago, but its recent splash in the news brought it to our attention again, albeit in an odd way (backpacker mutiny?) -- Oz Bus, a company offering a 12 week, 10,000 mile bus trip from Australia to the UK. We haven't been on this backpacker bus, but the itinerary reads like an incredible odyssey: Sydney to London (or vice versa) via Indonesia, Thailand, Laos, China, Nepal, India, Iran, Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Austria, Czech Republic, Germany and France.
