Eurostar Moves to St. Pancras Station
Monday November 19, 2007
The sleek and speedy Eurostar train, which runs from London to Paris and Brussels and back under the English channel, has changed its London home from Waterloo station to spiffy St. Pancras,
with the first journey happening November 14. The $1.6 billion-renovated St. Pancras station is, just like Waterloo, an easy ride on the London tube to London's hottest hostels.
The Eurostar is an extremely cool and quick ride, but travel on this train from London to Paris requires a separate ticket from any Eurail pass you may have, though some Eurail passes will give you discount Eurostar tickets. Learn more:
(Paris's public transport strike is not impacting the Eurostar, though Eurostar says, "Eurostar is... advising travellers who hold tickets for travel beyond Lille and Paris... to avoid travelling if at all possible.")
