TSA Blog

Sunday February 24, 2008
If you've not seen it yet, this is really something: the TSA (Transportation Security Administration) has not only got a blog (as of January '08), but comments are allowed -- and most comments are everything most could ever want to say to the TSA. The blog's existence is unlikely to make TSA rules any more palatable, but it's interesting to know that the agency, which has managed to tie the IRS in unpopularity, has opened itself up to this (inevitable) outpouring of criticism from travelers: So, what is the TSA and why do you need to know? Get started with this: Air Travel for Beginners.

Why does the TSA lock have to be cut off instead of them using a key. It seems that Salt Lake International has a rule that if its locked then cut it off, it has never happened in any other teminal except Salt Lake

Jcd … so does your spelling :)

I find it funny that people think so badly of these same people that take thousands of items from passengers that you would never want on a plane with you, firearms, knifes, switchblades etc.

Let someone pull out a firearm and shoot your ass on an aircraft, who are you going to blame for that gun being on the plane? The same people you say “sux”. Funny how you make it to each and every destination safely everytime you have flown since 9/11 but still want to bash the people that ensure that.

Seriously, what TSA asks you to comply with for your own good is not that difficult.
