STA Travel Announces 2008 Travel Winner

Humongo student travel agency STA has announced the winner of its 2008 student travel internship: lucky stiff Pat Blute was chosen March 13 from over 2000 applicants to tour the world on the dimes of travel outfits like Contiki Tours and Intrepid Travel for six weeks this summer, seeing 14 countries (including Spain, Croatia, New Zealand, Argentina, Galapagos Islands, and Vietnam) on four continents and reporting back on it all via vids, photos, a blog and podcasts. Runner-up Kristen Delmonte chooses between Hong Kong and Sydney for six weeks.

If you'd like to be the next STA intern and you're 18-26 years old, studying at an accredited American university and Web 2.0/tech savvy with strong writing skills, you'll have a chance to upload a resume and video application for 2009 at STA in November or December. Pay is zippo, but expenses are covered, and that's a lot of expenses -- the winner will see a big piece of the planet. Check it all out:
