Burning Man is One Hot Summer Road Trip

Burning Man, an August 25-September 1 happening in the Nevada desert, is perhaps best described in words from the Burning Man site: "Burning Man is an annual experiment in temporary community dedicated to radical self-expression and radical self-reliance." It's quite a scene and one worth seeing and doing if you're so inclined, and it's one heck of an excuse for a last summer road trip before you put the cooler away for another year. Camping is the thing and Burning Man happens about 130 miles from Reno, so grab some gear before you go. Burning Man ride share boards exist to find burning-bound folks for sharing gas.
