Notting Hill Carnival
Tuesday August 19, 2008
Sound systems are key at the UK's biggest street party when the Caribbean comes to town August 24-25 at London's Notting Hill Carnival, a last hurrah for summer shindigs
across the pond. Soca, Jamaican beer and the smell of island spice set the stage for a wild time by over two million partiers watched by hundreds of policemen; procession routes are defined for fine parades where dirty dancing and crazy costumes are the thing. Prepare for a packed scene in this little West London neighborhood!
