Check out this promotion just for US residents visiting Europe this holiday season: make your hostel reservations through Hostelsclub.com, a hostel and tour booking service based in Venice and serving the world, prove your American nationality, and the total you'll pay will be euro to dollar, straight across as if €1 equaled $1. Which it doesn't -- the exchange rate right now makes $1 worth 78 cents in Europe as of this writing (learn what that means).
