Survey Says Students Traveling Despite Economy

An impressive 87% of young people polled in a just-released survey by Global Gossip.com either said they're increasing travel agendas or are still planning to roll with any current travel plans when asked whether "current global economic uncertainties" might alter travel hopes. According to WYSTC* reports, results from 1548 folks aged 19-29 from Australia, Fiji, New Zealand, Spain and the UK surveyed showed these responses:

  • 64%: "Who cares, I’m sticking to my original plans"
  • 23%: "Travel more until it blows over"
  • 12%: "Cut your budget and your trip shorter"

What's it mean to you? Well, some surveys are showing folks afraid to spend any money, which would mean that while some suits stay home watching stocks skitter, you'll have many world playgrounds to yourself and your undaunted peers in the next little bit. Nice. Other surveys are saying travel's going to be steady in every age group. Either way, get started with the planning:
