Resolve to Get a Passport
Wednesday December 31, 2008
Kick start your 2009 travel resolutions by resolving to get a passport soon, like today or next week.
Passport rules changed in January, 2007 and you must now have a passport to travel by air to Mexico, Canada, the Caribbean (except for US territories), Bermuda and Panama. As of June 1, you'll have to have a passport or PASS passport substitute card to cross into Mexico and Canada and everywhere else by land or sea. And, of course, you must have a passport now to cross some borders into lands that could change your life, like Europe or Africa. Start your engines, travelers.
