Studied abroad recently or out and about now? Share a story about it through 1-3 minutes of video to win $300 and become the 2009 NAFSA Student Diplomat.
NAFSA (originally the National Association of Foreign Student Advisers, and now known as NAFSA: Association of International Educators) and Abroad View (a great global education magazine for students), are sponsoring the contest to showcase ways in which study abroad advances global understanding and to encourage students' consideration of the ways in which study abroad "... has shaped them as a global citizen, served as a bridge to cross-cultural understanding, promoted peace, or positively impacted the local community in which they studied." Enter by 11/06/09 at the NAFSA website; after finalists are chosen by a panel, the winner will be selected through open voting, so share your vid everywhere to grab votes!
Northwestern University junior Asha Toulmin explains the video and entry process:
Good luck!
