Built in 1891, the Split Point Lighthouse at Otway National Park, west of Melbourne (see the Great Ocean Road Map, was originally called the Eagles Nest Point lighthouse and also known as the White Queen. Stop in and wander down to the tip of the tiny spit and look out on what's called Australia's Shipwreck Coast.

Over 700 ships are thought to litter the ocean floor off the coast of Victoria, Australia's southeastern mainland state:
