- Directions to Guanajuato Mummy Museum: The museum's on a hill overlooking town from the north. You can catch a cab from any central place downtown (try the main mercado) to the mummy museum for about $3-5. You can also catch the bus -- walk northeast from the mercado and look for a bus with "las Momias" displayed on the readerboard; the driver can point out the street leading to the museum. Walk past the souvenir stands to find the ticket window. You'll likely have to catch the bus back downtown; wait for it at the stop just in front of the museum.
- Mummy Museum Tickets: You must buy tickets at the museum; you may get a break on the price if you arrive late in the day. Tickets were about $3 USD when I visited in 2008.
