Big stages, big steel fence, and big names like Snow Patrol, Florence and the Machine, The Stone Roses, and Kasabian are headlining for scores of hot-now names including Tinie Tempah and Calvin Harris plus may-be-hot-again bands, like Simple Minds, at this July 6-8 music festival at Balrado, by Kinross, in green, green Scotland. No concert tickets at the gate (don't bother trying -- serious security). Bring campervans (like VW Westfalias -- no trailers, though) and tents -- this is among the biggest camping parties in Europe. T in the Park sells out very very very fast -- chances to buy new (and usually progressively more expensive) tickets will keep popping up through spring, though.

T in the Park Festival Dates and Tickets

The fun starts July 6, 2012, and you can pitch a tent in the camping area on Thursday, July 5 (movies and previous concert footage for your viewing pleasure that night) and starting Friday, gates open at 11 a.m. each day.

Get T in the Park tickets at www.ticketmaster.co.uk or call 08444 999 990 from within the UK. You can buy daily tickets; ticket prices for T in the Park passes are £179 for non-campers and £199 with camping. Car parking and lockers are availabl.

So about that camping at T in the Park: you must buy a campervan ticket in advance (limited number available at www.ticketmaster.co.uk). You can only get in with your campervan ticket if you and everyone in your campervan have T in the Park 2012 weekend camping tickets. No electricity or water hook-ups are available (the festival facilities offer showers, though). No non-camper vans or caravans (like a motorhome) or cars are allowed in the camping area.

Enjoy the fun at T in the Park!
