The Plaza Pueblo, downtown Rosarito Beach near Eucalipto Avenue, is an authentic blast of Old Mexico. Bands perform in the plaza periodically, and you can buy leather goods, trinkets, or art and goods made from recycled trash. Around the corner and north from the Pueblo Plaza is El Nido, a cool (literally) restaurant serving game and Mexican food. Around the corner south is the Barbachano Zone, nightclub central.
