Robert Bosch Foundation Fellowship Program
International German Internship

By Kathleen Crislip, About.com

The Robert Bosch Foundation Fellowship is a program of internships designed for US students and professionals who wish to experience German culture. Twenty people are chosen out of about 300 applicants annually for nine-month fellowships; those winning the fellowships have two internships while in Germany -- usually, one is affiliated with the government, and one is in business.

  • Fellows are compensated (about €2000/month in 2009)
  • Fellows must be fluent in German by the time of training (funding available for language study prior to starting the program!)
  • Applicants must have a graduate degree or be engaged in the fields of business administration, journalism, law, public policy (check for other related fields)
  • Applicants are between 23-34 years old

Application deadline: October 15, 2009 for 2010-2011.
