1. Steamboat Springs, Colorado - Spring Break
Steamboat is the second largest ski resort in the lower 48, with acreage second only to staid and expensive Vail. Steamboat Springs caters to college students during Spring Break; the town's bars and clubs offer some live music and specials, but the local police are very tough on kids (some might say overzealous). If you stay on the mountain, you'll find plenty of Spring Break 2006 stuff to do.Decent snowboard park. Lift tickets from $60.
2. Crested Butte, Colorado - Spring Break
The people are great, the snow is excellent and the place is just beautiful. Crested Butte is, perhaps, the best Colorado ski resort for college age folks -- lots of events and activities, nice nightlife, and the town of Crested Butte is terrific. Go back country for the real Crested Butte deal. The area's snowboard friendly, but the terrain is tough. Lift tickets from $69.
3. Winter Park, Colorado - Spring Break
Winter Park is just 1 1/2 hours from Denver, Colorado, making it easy and cheap to reach by car, bus or train. A mountain bike-friendly place in summer, Winter Park is loaded with apres-anything spots.Grrrreat terrain parks. Lift tickets from $58.
