Popular student airfare discount finder Student Universe is offering a great airfare special: "Go Deal" student discount airfares. Getting a student airfare discount was never so much fun.
Each day for the special's duration, Student Universe offers a "Go Deal" student airfare discount on a hot student travel destination -- on the day I had some fun with it, the destination was Rome and the student airfare deal was a cool C note discount. Past Go Deals included $150 off Hong Kong and a $40 student airfare discount on Chicago tickets.
How to Book the Airfare Discount
Head to Student Universe's website's "Go Deal" page (note the clock ticking off the seconds left to claim the discount). You'll zoom to a student Universe promotional code; use the code to seal your deal between midnight and midnight ET each day (remember the clock?).Tip: Bookmark the Student Travel blog for today's student airfare discount, too.

As if a major discount on Student Universe's already cheap student airfares weren't enough, you can snag an additional $20 break if Student Universe publishes your plea to "Go Deal" your favorite city. Posted by Student Universe:"If you want to see (a) featured city again send us your own edgy write up on why students should go there. The keyword is edgy; something that you’d want to read NOT "stroll the quiet side streets blah blah blah" (if we wanted that we'd ask your mom to write it) If we like what you write we'll use it. Ah yes - advance notice would be crucial; because each Go Deal is valid for only 24 hours, you must either plan well and watch the site closely or be one spontaneous person.
The Airfare Discount Fine Print
- Go Deals and accompanying promotional codes are each valid for the specified 24 hour period (remember to check the clock!).
- Each Go Deal is good for round-trip travel only to the advertised city or country.
- No Go Deals on hostels, hotels, rail passes or previously booked flights.
- Purchaser must be a student with verifiable status (no part-part-part timers or those pursuing continuing education).
