Eurail Youth or Student Pass Types

As we talked about on page one, two types of Eurail, or European train, youth / student train passes exist -- multi-country and single country. Multi-country Europe train passes allow you to take a Eurail train (what is Eurail?) around six or more European countries and cost a bit more than buying a single European country train pass, but generally less than buying a separate train ticket in six or more European countries. "Single country" pass is often a misnomer -- many single country Europe train passes buy you a ticket to two or three or even five countries through connecting borders.

You can also get a ticket on the Eurostar, the train passing under the English channel between London and Paris or Brussels.

Let's check out Eurail single country passes for student travelers and backpackers.
