LL Bean Passport Holder Review - Passport Organizer

LL Bean Passport Organizer

The Bottom Line

The LL Bean passport organizer is a seemingly small affair that opens into a virtual travel toolkit. As a passport holder only, it's a little expensive because it's a lot more than that. Using this multi-featured travel accessory solely as a passport / ticket organizer is impossible, anyway; no sooner will you decide in which of the seven pockets to put your passport then you'll be filling the rest.

If you call it a travel wallet, however, the LL Bean passport organizer is almost perfect. What isn't perfect: LL Bean is apparently no longert making this, so you'll have to look for it on ebay.

Pros

  • Works for travel or everyday use
  • Tough-as-nails construction
  • Neck strap for handy hauling

Cons

  • A little large for airport use only

Description

  • Trifold design.
  • Side-release buckle.
  • Adjustable neck strap keeper (also works like a purse over the shoulder).
  • 8"H x 5 3/4"W closed; six ounces.
  • Available in black, navy blue, dark khaki and powder blue.

Guide Review - LL Bean Passport Organizer

How do I love this passport organizer / travel wallet? Let me tell you the ways I used it on a recent trip.

Back open pocket - boarding pass, itinerary, maps
Front zippered pocket - passport (periodically - it floated), picture ID and coins
Inner "top" zippered pocket - folding money
Inner "lower" zippered mesh pocket - more coins, gum, personal stuff
Two pen sleeves - well... pens
Inner sleeve pocket - receipts, stubs, scribbled notes
Inner mesh sleeve pocket - travel journal
Inner ID sleeve - ID tag and hotel's / hostel's / tour director's business card
Six credit card sleeves - debit card, credit card and my business cards
The only question: with what do you fill your cargo pants pockets now?
