We've made a list and checked it twice: these are our favorite backpackers' travel books for 2009! We're starting out with an old fave and have included other books from other years because, well, sometimes the best is still the best...

We keep liking the "Rough Guide First Time Around the World as a best backpackers' travel book each year because it keeps being the best of its kind: a rough (meaning adventurous) guide book to accompany your first trip around the world, with travel advice told in the trademark Rough Guide rock and roll tone. .
