Enter the crushable hat -- frequently done but finally perfected when Magellan's packable travel hat made the scene. Constructed of polyester with a cotton browband, the attractive hat can be squished, crunched, squashed or rolled and bounces back every time. I've stuffed mine in many a backpack or back pocket on an airplane and pulled it out for drinks on the beach.
