Question: Does the Augusta Airport Have a Scanner?
Answer: Yas'm, the Augusta Regional Airport has scanners. The scanners we're talking about here are the millimeter wave and backscatter imaging machines implemented as a part of new airport security by the TSA and Department of Homeland Security after 9-11 (learn more).

Don't want the backscatter x ray machine thingie? Get to the Augusta airport with an extra fifteen minutes to spare in case you have to wait for a patdown. The Augusta airport isn't very big: though the airport does still have an old fashioned metal detector, the chances of airport security having the metal detector line and the scanner lines open at the same time is sometimes slim.
