All told, the Tidal Shirt is worth a try.

Guide Review - Woolrich Women's Convertible Travel Blouse (Tidal Shirt)

Trying to find a cute women's blouse that functions for travel is like hunting the proverbial haystack needle. The endless quest has turned up a new candidate: Woolrich's Tidal Shirt is mostly great for globetrotting -- it's well cut, well made, well ventilated and sports four pockets.

Most travel clothing claims its purpose with obvious function. The Tidal Shirt fools on first glance -- it's terrace worthy, but a closer look reveals practical travel features.

Vents at the shoulder/armpit and a vented back yoke with velcro tab provide air conditioning; mesh across the upper shoulders cools sweaty skin. Two breast pockets and a zippered pocket at the waist provide stash space; the sleeve pocket is a great idea, but the convertible sleeve tab buttons over it.

Wish list for travel: a wrinkle repelling fabric and closures on breast pockets.

Not traveling? Super shirt. Traveling? You wouldn't always reach for it.
