Eat Pray Love, the Movie

When Did You See It?:

August 13th

Best Part?

When she looks at the girl's flat belly and then eats the pasta anyway!

Solo Travel

It makes solo travel look deceptively easy

One Year Off

I couldn't afford it and the movie doesn't address it, which was surprising

Julia Roberts

I ove Julia Roberts, and I loved it that she looked like she'd been eating!

Self Indulgent?

That's the point! People who don't get that, shouldn't see this movie.

If you could only pick one country to visit, which one?

Bali

Which was better, book or movie?

Haven't read the book

My Review

I'd see Eat Pray Love again, though I longed for more scenes of Italy that weren't inside. It made it seem like she led a very interior life. She also didn't see much of India, and there is a lot to see in India! Definitely sold that country short. The Eat Pray Love movie would inspire me to travel solo. I've never written a movie review before, so I might have to come back and do this again, but I think it was a good movie.

Would you recommend this to a friend?

Yes

Kathleen Crislip, Student Travel Guide, says:

Jody, I'm with you -- I love Rome and really hoped to see more of the Italian streets somehow. Can't quite put my finger on how...
